Lest We Forget - A Message on Armistice Day.

Hi!!!

Good morning, I hope you're all well. Today, as you probably know, is Armistice Day and I've written a post today to honour that.

Today is obviously Armistice Day and there will be a two minute silence at 11am to honour those who have died in conflicts around the world since WW1.
Every year I write posts encouraging you to stop and think about those who have been and are impacted by wars, past and present and to remember what others have done for us. I do this because I truly believe that, regardless of our opinions about the conflicts they are involved in, service men and women, past and present, deserve our respect.
So treat this as your reminder to participate in the silence and take the opportunity to reflect.
Thanks for reading.

I hope you're enjoying your weekend so far.

Have a lovely Saturday!

We Will Remember Them - Thoughts On Remembrance Sunday

Hi!!!
Good morning. So today is Remembrance Sunday, as you probably know, and while I did a post on remembrance on Friday, I wanted to say a few words today, too, so here we go. They may be similar to my words on Armistice Day, but I'd still appreciate if you read it.

Today, there will be a two minute silence to honour those who have died in conflicts worldwide since WW1. Here's a reminder to stop at 11am and take the time to think about those who have fought and those who are impacted by conflict. Those who have served and are serving deserve to be thought of by us for all that they did and do for us all, whether we agree with war or not. Remembrance is so important.

Thank you so much for reading.

Lest We Forget - A Few Words On Armistice Day

Hi!!!

Good morning everyone. Happy Friday! Today, as you probably know, is Armistice Day and so I've put together a short post to honour that.

Today, Armistice Day, as on Remembrance Sunday, there will be a two minute silence to honour those who have died in conflicts worldwide since WW1. I wanted to encourage you to stop at 11am and take the time to think about those who have fought and are fighting and those who are impacted and have been impacted by war. To think about the things that others have done for us. Whatever we may think about war, those who have served and are serving deserve to be remembered and respected.

Thank you so much for reading.

Lest We Forget - Armistice Day 2015

Hi!!!

How are you all today? How has your week been so far? Since today is Armistice Day, I thought I'd put together a little post for you all to read.

On the 11th of November 1918, the First World War ended officially and with that came the end of years of conflict and casualties and deaths. Since that time, on the original Armistice Day, many other conflicts have taken place and they are all the reason (from the First World War to more recent conflicts) that we should participate in the two minute silence at 11am today - to commemorate the ending of conflicts, to remember the service men and women who died for their country or who were injured fighting for their country, who had to put their lives on hold to go and fight for their country, those who struggled to adjust to life after conflicts and of course the families and friends who were affected by war, too.

Thank you for reading, I will speak to you guys later in the week.
What do Remembrance celebrations mean to you? Do you have any comments or suggestions for future posts? Let me know in the comments below.
See you soon!

Have a wonderful day!

Lest We Forget - Armistice Day 2014

Hi!!!

How are we all?  I hope that you are all doing well and have had a good start to the week. On Sunday, I did a Rememberance post - you can find that over (HERE) - and am also doing a post today. Remembrance is very important and so two post seems right and logical.

On this day in 1918 at 11am, the First World War was officially over. The conflict that had lasted for four years and saw so many casualties, deaths and tragedies was over and done with.

That, and all of the other conflicts throughout time, are the reason we put our lives on hold for just two minutes and stand silent. We keep our mouths shut for just two minutes to commemorate the ending of conflicts and to remember all of the brave men and women who have died for their country as well as those who have put their lives on hold to go and fight and who have found adjusting back into life w challenging.

I really, really hope that you will take part in the 2 minutes silence today and that you are respectful of what it means.

I hope you take part in the two minutes silence today and that you enjoyed this post.
What does the Armistice Day and Remberance mean to you? Do you have any stories on this topic which you would like to share? Do you have any comments or suggestions for future posts? Let me know in the comments below!
I hope you enjoyed this and I'll see you soon!

Have a completely wonderful day!

Lest We Forget - Armistice Day

Hi!!!

How are we all?  I did a post yesterday about Remembrance, which you can find (HERE). But today is also special, and so deserves a separate post.

On the 11th of November, 1918 at 11 O'clock, the First World War, came to an end. The world hadn't seen a war as terrible as this before, and so many, many men died.

At eleven O'clock today, the whole of the UK (I hope) will participate in a 2 minute silence, in order to show respect and remembrance for everyone who gave their lives in every war, who have fought in wars and who are out there fighting now.

I hope you'll take part in the silence, and take a little time to remember and consider. Believe me, 2 minutes of your time is the least you can do for the people out there who fight for us.
