Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do - Music - You Need This Tom Grennan EP In Your Life.

Hi!!!

How is everyone today? I've got some new music to share with you today and when I say new, I mean like a month old new, by a new artist. Very exciting times. I think you guys are going to like it and I'm really excited to share it with you all. So, let's begin, shall we?

Before I go any further, the point of this whole post is basically to tell you that if you that if you only buy one thing this week, it should be Tom Grennan's EP, 'Something In the Water'.

The EP was released at the end of October and features four tracks - 'Old Songs', 'Something In The Water', 'Sweet Hallelujah' and and an acoustic version of the Chase and Status track 'All Goes Wrong' which he provided the vocals for.

There is a really strong sense of cohesion between all the songs on the EP but each one maintains interest. I think he's got a really soulful voice and I also really like the songs lyrically. The music is a balanced blend of power and ease and I could definitely listen to a whole album of this.

This is, in my opinion, one of the most exciting new releases of the year and I think Tom Grennan is one to watch in 2017. He has a great voice, and the tracks on this EP are all amazing. This guy has got talent.

Go and have a listen to it if you get the chance, you can buy it for £2.99 on Google Play, and I'll link the YouTube videos here.

I hope you enjoyed this post and that I might have steered you towards an artist you'll love.
What do you think of this EP? Do you have any comments or suggestions for future posts? Let me known in the comments.
Thanks for reading.

Have a magical day!

Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do! - Music - Let's Talk About... - Circa Waves.

Hi!!!

Oh, hey there! Happy October! So, I'm a big ol' music lover - as I am sure you know by now - and a something that always makes me happy are my newest musical discoveries. Sometimes they are artists that are just starting out, sometimes they are artists that I cannot believe I didn't know about before and have several albums to explore, sometimes they are current, sometimes from decades ago. Anyway, today I want to share a discovery I made a quite a few months ago now and that I am delighted I found.

Let's Talk About Circa Waves.

Circa Waves are relatively new (indie) kids on the block. They are a band from Liverpool with an incredibly cool sound.
They have that awesome indie disco thing going for them which means that their songs have the versatility to be danced to or to be sat and listened to which is always good.
If you are into fantastic, upbeat, guitar-heavy songs with a great music and lyrics (and who isn't?) and fancy listening to something new then I would highly recommend giving Circa Waves a listen.
Four of my favourite songs by Circa Waves:
Three reasons to love Circa Waves:
  • Their fantastic music and lyrics which make up their unique sound.
  • I could honestly get lost in their songs and listen to them for ages which is always a good sign.
  • The aesthetic of their music videos - might sound a bit odd, but for me, it can be make or break and in this case, it makes it.
Two of things I would like:
  • Their debut album, "Young Chasers", in actual CD form (FIND IT HERE)
  • Tickets to their upcoming tour - who wants to join me? (FIND IT HERE)

One of my favourite interviews related to Circa Waves:
  • This is one of the only ones I could find - Vevo Dscvr (WATCH IT HERE)
That is all I have to say to you today then, you lovely lot. I hope that you have enjoyed this and that maybe you've discovered something new through this post.
Are you a Circa Waves fan? Or have I brought them to your attention? What do you think of their music? Would you like to see more "Let's Talk About" posts? Any comments or suggestions for things in the future? Be sure to let me know in the comments below.
Thanks for reading, I'll see you soon!

Have the most fantastically brilliant day!

Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do! - Music - Let's Talk About... - The Kinks.

    Hi!!!

I'm so glad that I'm back in the blogging seat, and I'm going to take advantage of the Bank Holiday weekend and try to write lots. Today, I wanted to do a bit of a spotlight post about The Kinks, because they are great and they have cropped up in my mind a lot lately. So, lets tear and share some thoughts, some favourites and some articles.
This is a whole new kind of post over here, so maybe this can become a series... Let me know what you think!

    Let's Talk About The Kinks.
The Kinks hit the big time back in the 60s (an era which we love, don't we?).
The Kinks were comprised of the Davies brothers, Ray and Dave, as well as Mick Avory and Pete Quaife, a bunch of "misfit" boys from Muswell Hill with a whole load of talent.
The Kinks are one of the most important and influential bands and some of the best musicians ever and I love them.
Four of my favourite songs by The Kinks:
Three reasons to love The Kinks:
    • Their music is iconic, amazing, very influential and will make your ears happy.
    • The personalities of their band members.
    • Their effortless cool.
