Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do - Music - Five Of My Favourite Music Videos

Hi!!!

I'm one of those people that watches MTV a whole lot. I also listen to a lot of music on YouTube. All of this music video watching means I have of course ended up with favourites (and least favourites, but that's a post for another time). So, without any more rambling from me, here's a selection of the ones I like best.

The sheer joy that this video brings me is probably immeasurable. I just love how simple it is. One guy dancing in a corridor somewhere. I know everyone jokes about keeping costs down, or having a forgotten deadline to meet, being the cause of this video, but I think its actually really smart, and it really does stay with you. So whatever the reason for its creation, you must watch it. Oh and the song is cracking too.

This is an amazing video. The concept is so smart and cool and it is brilliantly filmed. There is a clear story and it is a memorable one. If you're a fan of cowboy films, I think you'll appreciate it as this video definitely has Butch and Sundance vibes. I also really like the song, particularly in terms of the actual music.

I could have chosen any one of Sia's videos from recent years because they are all great. But The Greatest is one of my absolute favourites and it pays a beautiful tribute to those who lost their lives in the shooting in Orlando earlier this year. The choreography is amazing and so are all the dancers. Oh and the song rules all.

This video. Honestly. As some of you may know, Noel Gallagher has said a few times before that he isn't a big fan of making music videos and this one takes that sentiment very seriously. The video itself is very good, it has an engaging narrative, it works well with the song and the direction is great. But my highlight is of course the humour at the beginning and end - it makes me laugh every time.

Alex Turner and Co lip syncing and drumming while one the road is one of those things that you didn't know you needed until you you see it. It's so simple but so entertaining. I really liked all the songs on AM but I wasn't at all keen on a lot of the music videos produced to go alongside it however this one is gold.

I think that's everything then. I hope you enjoyed this post, and that you like the music videos as much as I do.

Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do! - Music - Some Of My Favourite Tracks That You Should Play This Week.

Hi!!!

Ah, Sunday. It's a wonderful day of the week, isn't it? I love it - the family time or time with friends, the relaxed schedule for the day, all of it. Sunday is also often the day when people plan for the upcoming week and so I thought I'd help you plan your listening for this week - there's some right gooduns and they all go together wonderfully.

'The Importance of Being Idle' by Oasis because... it is an amazing track with that classic Oasis sound, mixed with an older style, and cool lyrics.

'Love, Hope and Misery' by Jake Bugg because... it has vintage vibes, skilful guitar playing and great lyrics - it has both delicacy and power.

'Snap Out Of It' by The Arctic Monkeys because... it's catchy and has those instantly recognisable riffs that the album AM was full of.

'Champagne Supernova' by Oasis because... it's a classic - it has catchy yet clever lyrics and each of the instruments the band used can be picked out.

'Bitter Salt' by Jake Bugg because... this is the latest release off the album 'On My One', and I like it - listen to it once, then again straight after, and you'll see my point.

'This Time Tomorrow' by The Kinks because... it is probably my favourite song by The Kinks in that I love the lyrics and the music is simple yet good.

And that is your recommended listening for this week (and for all of time, haha) - I hope you enjoy the songs, they are some of my all time favourites and I think this bunch all go well together.
What have you been listening to recently? Do you love these six songs as much as I do? Do you have any other comments or suggestions for future posts? Let me know in the comments.
Thank you for reading!

I hope your day is beautiful!

Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do! - Music - Some Favourites From This Time Last Year...

Hi!!!

How are all of you lovely little people? I hope you are all OK and have been having a good week. I wanted to do a music-y post for you today and I've had this idea in mind for quite a while.

This time last year the music I was into was actually of an awesome standard and none of the songs here have ever really let go!

"Chocolate" by The 1975, (HERE).

I adore the 1975 and I really love the album that this song is on (recommend for all the cool songs). This track was one of, if not the first from the album to be released and it is so good, so catchy and so awesome. Its music and lyrics are great and I just really love this song.

"Do I Wanna Know?" by the Artic Monkeys, (HERE).

The Artic Monkeys are brilliant and when they came out with AM last year I was chuffed. It is a fantastic album which has a really cool sound and this song was the first release from it, and what a good choice it was. This song is a complete beaut and I loves it.

"The Way I Tend To Be" by Frank Turner, (HERE).

This song is an absolute corker. I love this song, the lyrics are great and it is just a lovely listen. I remember playing this on the way to Cornbury Festival last year and singing along at the top of my lungs. It is a really strong summery indie track that I love.

"Let Her Go" by Passenger, (HERE).

Can I just take a minute for this song - I completely adore this. I think Passenger is/are pretty awesome anyway and this song is just so fantastic. It is so beautiful and I loves it very, very muchly. This one is a lovely one and I recommend it for a listen on everyone's part right now. Go on, I'll wait in this tab.

"Broken" by Jake Bugg, (HERE).

This song is beautiful. I love it such a ridiculous amount. Jake's voice is just beautiful and the music and lyrics of this song are awesome. I highly recommend this for a listen. I really do think this song is wonderful and I wouldn't mind you heading off and listening to this one right now because I probably will too.
I'd also just like to point out that some changes may have happened with music on YouTube between the time I wrote this with the links and whatever time it is that you are reading it because of (THIS) the links might be disrupted. If they are then please just do a quick search yourself. It might be a bit of an inconvenience, so I'm sorry but I can't do a lot about it and respect the choices of the record labels involved.

I loved piecing this post together. I love all of these songs and hold them all in such a high regard in my heart (that is quite possibly the most cheesy thing that I have said but its true). I also hope you enjoyed this post too and if you would like to see more like this then let me know.
What were your favourite songs this time last year? Do you like these songs? Did you like this post? Any suggestions or comments? Let me know the comments.
Speak soon you lovely people. Don't forget that you can follow me on BlogLovin with the little button on the side, if you so wish.

Have a brilliant day!
