I've Been Thinking... - One of My Favourite Christmas Adverts.

Hi!!!

Good morning and welcome to Blogmas Day Twelve. Today I want to share one of my favourite Christmas adverts from this year's selection with you. I love a good advert, especially at Christmas. I know some of you might not pay that much attention to them (Sky Plus, am I right?), but I figure since most of us watched the John Lewis Christmas advert approximately ten minutes after we woke up on the day it appeared on YouTube, we're all interested enough to chat about the best ads.

I wasn't expecting the BBC to produce one of my favourite Christmas adverts of the year but they certainly have.

It features an always busy, workaholic single Dad and his daughter who loves dancing and is going to perform in her school's Christmas showcase. Every time she tries to show her new routine to him, her father is seemingly too busy with work to take notice - or is he?

The advert also includes the much loved former number one song 'Symphony' by Clean Bandit and is in a very charming claymation medium.

It's lovely to see family at the heart of a Christmas advert and to see real life on display in amongst all of the fantastical adverts.
It gives me the feeling that all the advertising companies strive to create at Christmas - it makes me happy and it makes me shed a few little tears and it makes me feel so festive.
It's heartwarming and sweet and has, in my eyes, stolen the show.

You can watch it HERE.

Thanks for reading.
Which is your favourite Christmas advert this year? Do you have any other comments or suggestions for future Blogmas posts? Let me know in the comments.
See you tomorrow for Blogmas Day Thirteen.

I hope you have a fantastic day!

I've Been Thinking - The Superhumans.

Hi!!!

As I'm sure you all know, the Olympics is currently taking place in Rio and the Paralympics are approaching. Channel 4 are providing the Paralympics coverage this year and they have obviously been advertising this.

The 'We're The Superhumans' advert is inspirational. It features Paralympics athletes as well as a variety of other people with disabilities. Multiple disabilities are shown in the advert.
Everyone in it is shown to be strong and capable of doing whatever they want to - be it sports or brushing their teeth or playing piano and so on.
The song, 'Yes I Can', and band that feature complement the feeling so well. They provide a powerful soundtrack to the actions of the people in the ad.
The first time I saw this ad on TV, I teared up. It was just so moving to see such a broad range of people given a chance to showcase their capabilities to the masses and celebrate each other.
There is a point in the ad when it cuts to a clip of a young man in a wheelchair being told "No, you can't". The next clip is of the same guy yelling "Yes, I can!" while playing basketball. It's heart warming and that is the best way to explain the sentiment this advert carries.
I wanted to share it with you because I want as many people as possible to see it and be inspired by it.

You can see it here.

I hope you enjoyed the post and enjoy the advert.
What do you think of the advert? Do you have any other comments or suggestions for future posts? Talk to me in the comments section.
Thanks for reading!

Have a super day!

I've Been Thinking... - Some Brilliant Adverts!

Hi!!!

There is always a lot of hype over adverts in December, with high budget festive masterpieces everywhere. By the time we get to January there are just as many wonderful adverts that deserve some recognition. That's where this post comes in. So, sit back and take a minute to admire the finest the ad breaks have to offer with me.

Some Brilliant Adverts.

British Gas!

I completely love the recent British Gas advert. It features the sweetest little penguin who potters around a house to make sure that everything is in check, discovering all sorts of pretty things and hiding places along the way. I really like the animation and the mini storyline. It's just a little bit adorable.

Watch it (HERE).

Lloyds Bank!

First things first, I love horses. This advert travels through the ages of Lloyds bank with the horse from their logo as our guide. I think the concept is really good, I like the journey it takes us on and I really love the horses (did I mention I love horses???).

Watch it (HERE).

Nationwide!

This advert is very sweet. This is another generation span and the mini story in it revolves around a scarf with lots of sentimental value for the fathers and sons in a family. I really like it and I think the song in it is lovely.

Watch it (HERE).

MBNA!

Aah, the payment ninjas... This one makes me laugh so much - its just so funny. I love the "coolness" they gave the geeky people - geeks are obviously far cooler than we get credit for. Did I mention how hilarious this is?

Watch it (HERE).

I think that that is everything for today then guys. I hope you enjoyed this post - I always like putting them together.
Do you like the adverts included in this post? Which is your favourite? What are you up to this week? Let me know in the comments.
Thank you for reading.

Have an awesome day!

I've Been Thinking... - When House of Fraser Stole The Show.

Hi!!!

Good morning guys. How are we all today? I've just been watching some telly and I realised I haven't written an advertising post in so so long. So, here I am and today I want to talk to you about the House of Fraser Christmas ads because I personally love them.

I am in love with the House of Fraser Christmas ad campaign this year. The asthetics that feature in the different 'scenes' throughout are beautiful and they all complement each other wonderfully - think pastels followed metallic and so on. The advert features some incredibly talented dancers performing some really fantastic choreography (no, seriously, I'm obsessed with the choreo) and I really think that is something that sets it apart from other adverts. The choreography features some really wonderful aspects (those puppet isolations tho...) and the dancers all have such different looks that I think it shows that House of Fraser is a store for everyone. Also, the music that features is really good - it has a cool and sassy sound which I am a huge fan of. All in all, House of Fraser have completely stolen the show and I have completely fallen for this campaign - everyone involved in it can have loads of festive points.

Watch it (HERE)

That's all I've got for you guys today. I hope you've had a good week so far and that your weekend is even better. I hope you've enjoyed this post, thanks for reading.
Have you seen this advert? What do you think of it? Do you have any favourite adverts at the moment? Are you looking forward to Christmas? What are you getting up to this weekend? Any comments or suggestions for future posts? Let me know in the comments below.
I'll speak to you guys soon.

Have the most fabulous day!

So, To Sum It All Up - February Summary.

Hi!!!

Hello everyone! Happy International Women's Day! Today, I'll be writing a little February summary for you, because, apparently, it is now March. Anywho, February was quite fun and so I think this summary will be a nice one.

So, what went on in February?

Supporting Wear It. Beat It.

The British Heart Foundation is a cause close to my heart and to my family and so I am a massive supporter of them.
I believe that Wear It. Beat It is an excellent idea and is so easy for people to participate in.
I created two posts about Wear It. Beat It. I did one in the style I often do posts concerning charities and I did another with three makeup looks in it that you could have, and still could have a go at. I just hope I explained everything well.

To see my post about Wear It. Beat It, click (ME)
and/or
To see my post of different makeup looks inspired by Wear It. Beat It, click (ME)

Making Holiday Plans and Building Forts.

That might sound like a weird combination but I did spend a couple of days at my Auntie's house in February and this is a good summary of what I got up to.
We went to have a family meeting with my Aunties, Uncles and Cousins about our upcoming holiday (not long now, you guys!) and made lots of plans which is great as not only do I feel nice and organised about it, but I feel even more excited than I already did about going.
Aside from the family meeting, I built the best fort ever with my younger cousins (which we proceeded to spend more or less a whole weekend in, sometimes watching Powerpuff Girls, on my recommendation, sometimes talking, often doing puzzles) and I also went to a barn dance (which was funny, confusing and Eton Mess fuelled - breaking out into the Macarena when you don't know how to barn dance is always a good idea).
All in all a good few days well spent and I had such a good time - thanks guys.

Admiring Some Inspirational Ad Campaigns.

I did a post about the "This Girl Can" campaign in February as I really like it, and have been loving seeing it throughout the past month - as well as singing along and dancing to Missy Elliott, because I love her.
I love the themes of the campaign, what it stands for and I just think that you should check it out, if you haven't already.

You can read my post, (HERE).

My Favourite Blog Posts of February.

"Doing the Math" on Charlotte's Web, (HERE)

This was a nice read, and, as expected with Charlotte, it made me smile and was quite amusing.

"We Liked: This Week" on Little Winter, (OVER HERE)

I am really partial to a little round up post, and the "little things" so this was right up my street. It was interesting and fun. See also "We Liked: Little Things" (HERE)

My Favourite Song of February.

"Feels Like We Only Go Backwards" by Tame Impala, (HERE)

While this song hasn't necessarily been stuck in my head, I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to it. I think it is pure excellence and I think you will too. Its calm, its peaceful, it gives a nod to the psychedelic and I love it.

And that will be all for today. Thank you very much for reading this post, I look forward to posting quite a bit more in March.
How was February for you? Did you have fun? What were your favourite blog posts from February? What about your favourite song? What do you think of mine? Do you have any suggestions for future posts? How about any comments? Let me know in the comments below.
Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed. See you all soon!

I hope you have a fantastic day!

I've Been Thinking... - This Girl Can

Hi!!!

How are we all? This is one of my world famous posts about an ad campaign. OK, so maybe not world famous, but hopefully you'll like it. Today's advert is from the "This Girl Can" campaign. I really love this campaign (which you'll find out more about as we go on) and I really hope you enjoy.

The campaign "This Girl Can" launched fairly recently. I first saw it on Sky News Sunrise with the ever fabulous Eamonn Holmes and crew and I just fell completely in love with the advert, the campaign and what these amazing women stand for.

"This Girl Can" is one for all you lovely ladies out there.

The campaign is funny and witty (If you don't laugh at "I Jiggle, Therefore I Am" then I'm not sure we can be friends...) and is so relatable. It also features the music of the ever amazing Missy Elliot (who we all love, right?) which makes it so much fun to watch.

There are inspirational women of all shapes, sizes, ages, skills and abilities in the campaign, which is something I really like as it shows that being active, being healthy and taking care of yourself is something for everyone. These women look like the kinds of people you might know, which reminds you of this.

One billboard I have seen from the campaign is a phrase I really like: "I Swim Because I Love My Body, Not Because I Hate It". I like it because I see a lot of people hating the way that they look and hating their bodies. I'm not saying that you can't want to make a change, that you can't want to get fitter, to tone or to lose weight (or anything else) but the reasons must be right. Don't go into it hating your body. Go into it wanting to make your body better, to make you happy, to make you healthy (or something else) and you'll do much better.

This campaign serves as a great lesson for a number of people that exercise is for everyone, that how you look while you exercise isn't important and that a good lifestyle is a way to improve yourself in many ways (your health, your happiness, your looks etc.)

Leading a healthy and happy life is key for us all and "This Girl Can" is a reminder that nothing should stop you from achieving this or achieving your goals.

To watch the television advert for "This Girl Can", mosey on over HERE and to see their campaign website, click ME.

That's everything for today then, you guys. I hope that you enjoyed this post and that you like the campaign as much as I do.
What do you think of "This Girl Can"? Had you heard of it before now? Do you participate in any sports? Do you workout or do any other kind of exercise? Has this campaign helped change how you feel about sports and exercise whether you currently participate in it or not? Let me know in the comments below...
Thanks for reading this, everyone.

I hope your day is exceptional!

So, To Sum It All Up - Festive Summary.

Hi!!!

I haven't been around much throughout December which can be blamed on moving house (AKA no WiFi for about a week and a half) and then not having a functioning computer (big thank you to my lovely family for buying me a lovely new laptop for Christmas). There are no more excuses now so feel free to shout at me next time I go MIA.

Anyway, since I was on a hiatus during December, I thought a festive round up would be nice and I could make up for all the "Holidays Are Comin'" posts that I missed. Annnndddd BEGIN... (Warning: this could be a very long post, so you might want to grab a drink..)

You might remember from (THIS) post that my Mom and I went to see White Christmas a few weeks ago.
It kind of kicked off our Christmas as it was one of the first, major festive things we did this year. It was an amazing show - I shall be reviewing soon to give you a better idea - and I had such a lovely time (give or take me wanting to scream at the idiot of a woman who was sat next to me - the nightmare of all theatre goers... ARGH!). The show was truly enjoyable and fantastic.
White Christmas holds a special place in the hearts of my family and so it was a special experience to go and see it.
Thanks to everyone for an amazing show and thanks to my beautiful mother for coming with me to see it.

I did take some time to Christmas shop, drink hot chocolates, have the occasional festive Costa and brunch throughout November and December.
Christmas shopping got stressful at times, I won't lie to you, because the shops seemed to have nothing and then I was poorly and so a lot of the time that I spent trying to shop, I actually spent wanting to go home to bed. None the less, I feel like I bought quite well for everyone and I did enjoy spending some time in a festive but relaxed type of way.
Also, the Cheeseboard Panini at Costa is pretty awesome, just so you know.

This year, I went North Pole style on all of my Christmas presents by wrapping them in brown paper with red and white twine, white string, red string and red and white string all making appearances for decoration.
I was chuffed to bits with how they turned out and am glad that I shopped around for the perfect paper.

We decorated our new home for Christmas for the very first time and I honestly think it looks beautiful.
I feel so cosy, festive and happy looking around at the great job we did decorating.
It was really nice to just decorate since nothing had a proper place yet although I was nervous that it wouldn't look or feel right and that I'd end up awake in the middle of the night rearranging garlands and candles and all sorts but it turned out in such a way that I am so pleased with.
I'll be sad to take it all down and find the rooms looking so bare as when you actually consider it, we've had the decorations up more or less since the day we moved in and so I won't be used to living in the rooms without decorations.
I'm also pleased with how the decorations I have in my bedroom look - the little pink, fluffy tree I have has found it's home and my mistletoe fairy lights have been on every night. It all looks magical.

I also decorated the Christmas tree in my Nanny's (not like Mary Poppins, like my Grandma, just in case you felt confused) house and I think I did a cracking job with it. My Uncle B put up the other decorations like the Father Christmas in the hallway, too and it looks lovely in the house.

An adorable thing I enjoyed throughout December was my Boofle Advent Calender.

Then, of course there was the writing of Christmas cards.
This year I bought some lovely vintage looking cards in Marks and Spencer to write out for my friends and I took ages carefully selecting cards for family members in Clinton's.
I was very pleased with the selection of cards I found and hopefully receiving them put a smile on people's faces...

I spent lots of time admiring Christmas adverts on TV.
My personal favourite was the Sainsbury's one which you can view (HERE). It brought a smile to my face and a tear to my eye all at once and I think it was just so beautiful. Other lovely adverts include (THIS) one from John Lewis, (THIS) one from Aldi and (THIS) one from M&S.
All those involved in the creation of the adverts should give themselves five Brownie Points and a big pat on the back.

We headed down to the London area throughout December, one of these occasions was a few weekends ago when we had a lovely "early Christmas" with some of the family.
We had brunch with everyone, got to catch up and chat for ages all sat around the living room in the very comfy seats and open some Christmas presents.
I also went to the park in the morning with my younger cousins, all while wearing one of my fabulous Christmas jumpers.
I had a fantastic day with everyone and hope they all did too.
Also, I'd like to say a big thanks to all of them for the wonderful gifts I received from them - I love them.

I gave some of my friends their Christmas presents before Christmas and most of them opened them in front of me.
I really hope they all like them and will enjoy using them.
They also gave me some wonderful gifts - they were all very thoughtful and I'd like to say a big thanks for those.
There was also a Secret Santa on the go between a bunch of us and we all met up a few days before Christmas to exchange gifts. I received a great gift from my Secret Santa - although in fairness, it wasn't much of a Secret by the time we exchanged gifts as we presented each other with them; I'm glad I know who it was as, I got to thank them personally that way.
I hope the recipient of my Secret Santa gift likes it very much.
I had a great day out with everyone (especially the colouring competition we had... don't ask, I don't know either!)

Pantomime is yet another festive thing that took place this year, as is tradition.
This year, we went much closer to Christmas itself than usual, but that was quite nice.
I did my makeup - a gold eye with silver glitter winged liner and grey kohl on the waterline with my favourite red lippy - and dressed up in my blue and black dress and bright red shoes. I felt quite glam. The pantomime itself was absolutely excellent - we went to the Birmingham Hippodrome to see Jack and the Beanstalk.
The cast were brilliant, the panto was so hilarious I lost my ability to breathe for a while and the costumes and sets were very good. There was a whole section in 3D (I'm not spoiling anything by saying that, you know about it when you are handed 3D glasses on the doors) and that was so cool.
The whole thing was awesome and it was a great night - thanks to Auntie S and my Mommy for coming with me!

Christmas Eve, as I said (HERE) is typically a day of table laying and things like that and then a relaxed evening in Christmas PJs watching our favourite festive films. However this year was a bit different - in a good way!
I went to my Nan's and met up with the festive Dream Team (mentioned/explained in the previously linked post). I laid the table, had a mini crisis over napkins before getting the hang of it and doing pretty well, if I do say so myself. There was cooking done that day, some last minute shopping at the supermarket, some serious Christmas jumper wearing (yes, I have a variety) and then off to a family friend's to see people and have a bit of food. And thhheeenn off round to Elf Girl's house for (terrible) singing to our favourite Christmas songs, a few games on the Wii - we are excellent at tennis - and dancing before heading home at a time that is quite late in my usual Christmas Eve terms to put on my brand new Christmas PJs.
My new Christmas PJs were a gift from my Mom - they are the same kind of pattern as my blog, red with white polka dots AKA my favourite print - and they are so comfy and cute and I love them.
No films were watched as it was fairly late and we needed energy for the next day but I did have a lovely time.

Christmas Day was wonderful.
I was lucky enough to receive all sorts of wonderful gifts and cards throughout that day - thanks everyone! - and I hope that everyone loves the gifts I got for them, too.
The food was great, crackers were pulled, films were watched, photos were taken and I think a good time was had by all.
I hope everyone had an awesome time like I did.

Boxing Day was a day of a buffet style lunch and travelling back to the London-ish area to stay with my Auntie.
That was a very enjoyable day.
It began to snow while we were inside. I didn't notice because all of the curtains at my Nan's house were drawn and the Christmas tree takes up any space you could see from. I was carrying something out to the car and as I opened the front door, I saw huge snowflakes falling from the sky and a blanket of white on the ground.
Snow is my favourite and I was absolutely delighted to see it - it counts as a white Christmas in my eyes.
It slowed right down as we were leaving and despite my hoping it would stay for when we got back, it apparently didn't stay for very long at all.

We got up on Saturday morning and left my Aunt's house to go into London.
We usually go before Christmas but, as I said, I was a bit poorly and didn't quite feel like it.
We went in to Oxford Street, saw all of the lights, went to Selfridge's and looked around a lot of the shop (I do LOVE Selfridge's) before heading further down the road to John Lewis.
I had heard about there being a "rooftop garden" there and my curiosity drew me inside.
When we reached the roof, I must say I was greatly impressed.
An enchanting little "forest" greeted us, with Christmas trees lining all of the pathways that had been set up. There were lots of clear areas from which you could see the fabulous views of the city, a little bench where you could sit with Monty the Penguin - from the advert - and have your photo taken, a little snug in a "shed" filled with lots of lovely homely bits and bobs, a little house filled with biscuit decorating opportunities, festive sweets and competitions to win electrical goods, a Hotel Chocolate hot chocolate stand - gingerbread hot chocolates are amazing! - and a big space filled with chairs, tables and benches, a big screen with footage of an open fire playing and a whole big basket of blankets for you to sit with.
It was an enchanting experience and I had a wonderful time exploring.
We headed also for Carnaby Street - who have cool decorations this year - and Liberty.
We proceeded, as always, to explore every square inch of Liberty's and I must say, I was highly impressed by the way they had decorated the store to look like a pirate ship.
I had a lovely time but what could I expect - I totally adore Liberty's!
We then set off for Covent Garden for a dander round and dinner at my beloved Porter's.
I was, however, devastated to find out that Porter's in Covent Garden is closing down but my spirits have been greatly lifted again as I found out today that a brand spanking new Porter's is opening in the new year.
For more information, mosey on over (HERE).

We spent Sunday with some of the family, eating lots of yummy food (including Mince Pies - made by Heston... Obvs) and chatting lots about all sorts of things. It was a very nice day, it was great to see everyone and a good, relaxing time was had by all, I think.
I had a wonderful time, I hope everyone else did as well.

Yesterday was spent shopping for all manner of amazing things but you'll hear more about that soon. It was a lovely day, though, so thanks to my Auntie and my Mom for a good time out shopping!

And, so, I think that is all for my festive round up - I do hope I have included everything! I know that was a very lengthy post but at least it will make up for me being away for so long.
What festive things did you get up to? Anything similar to me? Do you have any festive traditions you'd like to share? Any comments or suggestions for future posts? Let me know in the comments below.
Thank you for reading. I'll speak to you again tomorrow.

Have a completely and utterly brilliant day!

So, To Sum It All Up - October Summary.

Hi!!!

Welcome to my October Summary. I am aware it is a few days behind where it would usually be but I have been very busy! I know its no excuse, but I think that maybe it might be OK? Anyway, lets get on with this shiz.

Travelling!

During October I was travelling in Normandy for around 4 days non-stop and then came home and went to London nearly straight away!

Being in Normandy, especially in the year of numerous war anniversaries, to see cemeteries, a number of D-Day Landings museums and activities and spending time with a bunch of awesome people was really a very memorable, special and enjoyable experience.
I was exhausted when I got home as we began our travel very, very early in the morning and basically did not stop until we got home very, very late after 4 days but it was so truly worth it.

While in London, I spent time with my brilliant family and went to see the beautiful poppy installation at the Tower of London. I had a great time and I really enjoyed myself. It was very relaxing and my sleep was "repaired".

Getting a New Follower on BlogLovin'!

I hadn't checked my BlogLovin' or my emails in quite some time and when I did the other day, I got the delightful surprise of a new follower! I now have 3 followers, which may not seem like many in comparison to some other blogs, but you have no idea how much it means to me.

Thanks to everyone who follows my blog on Blogger, BlogLovin' and everyone else who reads this blog. I hope you enjoy it.

You can follow my blog on BlogLovin' using the button on the right hand side.

Watching Charity Telethons.

I love a good charity telethon and I view it as a very easy and enjoyable way of helping out some amazing causes.

Stand Up to Cancer was on Channel 4 during October and I was watching, laughing and occasionally crying at the stories shown. It was a great night of telly and it is such a good cause to support.

To see a post about Stand Up to Cancer, mosey on over (HERE).

Appreciating a Bit of Advertising.

You guys know I love a good advert and October produced some pretty good adverts.

One of my personal favourites was the SSE advert featuring the orangutan discovering all of the beautiful things energy can do.
It was innovative, interesting and very wonderfully done.

To see a post I wrote about this advert, see (THIS).

Halloween Fun-Times.

Halloween, as I always say, is not just about creepy, spooky things. To me, it is about having fun with friends, dressing up and being silly.

This year, I spent time with the fabulous Elf Girl and some of her family, watched movies and ate too chicken and popcorn and really enjoyed myself.

To see a post about Halloween, click (HERE).

To find Elf Girl, click (HERE).

Nearly Completely Moving House.

We are finally super close to moving, with the final stages in motion and it is exciting. We are looking forward to moving in and enjoying our new home at last.

I will update you when we have made our official move and will possibly provide more updates as we enter the final stages of the move.

To see the most recent post I did on moving, see (HERE).

My Favourite Blog Posts From October.

"A weekend in the Cotswolds" on A Rosie Outlook, (HERE).

I really like places like the Cotswolds, and I love spending weekends and short breaks like this - big, long walks, pub lunches/dinners and cosy evenings - and loved Rosie's friend's home.

An enjoyable read, indeed.

"Berlin" on Charlotte's Web, (HERE).

This post included brilliant photography of the beautiful city of Berlin and a couple of very cool insights into some of the best things going on there, as well as Charlotte's personality.

A cool, wanderlust-y post.

"We liked: The Start of Autumn" on Little Winter, (HERE).

I really liked the simplicity of this post and the warmth that it gave me reading it. I too enjoy cosy evenings and trashy TV, which made this post relatable.

A nice lifestyle post which will make you want to drink hot chocolate.

"Love in Unexpected Places" on The London Project, (HERE).

This post is charming and incredibly sweet. I am a complete sucker for things like this and found this post a bit great, really.

A quirky, cute post worth a view.

See also "Postman's Park".

"5 Minutes With... Dawn O'Porter" on What Olivia Did, (HERE).

I love reading interviews and this was a quick, interesting read with lots of talk about all thing vintage and fashion.

A fun interview with a lot of Sixties moments.

So, I hope you enjoyed this post everyone. I thought October was a pretty ace month and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
What were your favourite parts of October? What did you think of what I got up to? Did you enjoy the posts I recommended? Any thoughts about this or suggestions for future posts? Let me know in the comments.
See you guys soon....

Have a completely great day!

I've Been Thinking... - SSE, You've Done Yourselves Proud...

Hi!!!

Today's post is an advertising appreciation post - you guys know what I am like for a good advert. My choice for today is a new advert from SSE/Southern Electric.

I saw this advert recently and fell in love with it.
It is beautiful and has a feeling of "magic" throughout it which probably has something to do with the stunningly animated orangutan discovering all of the awesome things that "energy provides" and the sense of wonderment that is reflected in everything.
The attempt to get onto the escalators, the adoration for film and light bulbs and all of the other details are a real reminder of just how lucky we all are to have such an amazing world around us. The music that it has been set with is one of my favourite songs, fits beautifully and again provides and appreciation for somehow not constantly looking forward but sometimes enjoying what we already have and have had more.

If you would like to watch this absolutely gorgeous advert, then click (HERE).

That is all for today - I hope that you enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed writing it.
Do you like the advert? Do you agree with what I think about the advert? Do you like this kind of post? Have you got any ideas or suggestions for future posts? Let me know in the comments.
See you soon.

Have the most amazing day!!!

So, To Sum It All Up - May Summary.

Hi!!!

How are all you lovely people? I hope you are all well. I can't believe that it is June already! Honestly, I was writing the title for this post and wrote "April Summary" instead of "May Summary".

I would also like to just say a quick apology for my lack of blog posts in May. It is something I am sorry for, and I hope that you guys don't mind me taking a little break once in a while.

Onwards with el summary, then...

Retail Therapy...

This month, I created a wants/wish list of beauty products I had my eye on, and have picked up one or two bits from the list. It was nice for me to piece together some ideas, and organise the kinds of things I've been/will be looking for recently in the shops.

Also during this month, I took some time out to appreciate the kinds of adverts that are on telly at the moment. Sometimes, I think its easy to forget how hard people work in advertising and how much of an excellent standard there is in adverts.

Find a post (HERE) on my current wishes/wants.

Find the post that I wrote about the recent John Lewis advert over (HERE).

The Chelsea Flower Show.

The RHS Chelsea Flower Show happened in May and I honestly thought that it was brilliant this year.

The show gardens were really quite beautiful, the flowers/plants/vegetables/fruits/various other things in the Great Pavilion were interesting and everything else about it was superb.

My Auntie S and my Nan went to visit the show, and another one of my Aunties went along too. They all really enjoyed themselves - obviously - and their various stories/photos from it were lovely to see.

I'd like to, as an admirer of all things RHS-ish, a massive well done to everyone involved in the show this year, it was awesome.

To see my post on the Chelsea Flower Show, head on over (HERE).

Look out for/search for the interview with the Reverend William McMillan, he's one of the best people in the floral world, and the interview was brill. Do a YouTube search if you missed it.

Spending Time In London.

I went into London last Tuesday, with my Mom (who is the "we" that I reference here and in the review), to go and see Quietly, a play by Owen McCafferty at the Soho Theatre - my review is going up tomorrow, so be sure to check it out!!!

We spent the afternoon eating cupcakes, shopping and then chilling in the bar of the theatre. We had a lovely time - despite the drizzle - and the play was great.

My review of Quietly will be posted tomorrow, Tuesday 3rd June.

Family Time.

During May, I enjoyed a Sunday Roast with nearly all the family, a trip to soft play with my little cousins and lots of chatting/play time with them, and time, as mentioned above, with my Mom.

Its always really nice to have some real, good family time and it makes me very happy.

We've also seen family friends this month, and its lovely to be able to catch up.

My Favourite Blog Posts Of May.

(In no particular order, as per...)

"Music" and "Sometimes It's OK To Rant" on Chronicles Of The Red Herring, (HERE).

Both of the posts Elf Girl posted on Chronicles Of The Red Herring this month were interesting and overall just very good. They were lovely weekend reads and you should have a look.

"Just Bobbing Along" on A Rosie Outlook, (HERE).

I think you should look at all of Rosie's posts from May, as they were all very good, however this was one of my top posts.
I liked the catch-up, relaxed feel of the post, and the photography here is gorgeous. I also liked the honesty of the post, and the way it encouraged me to take more time to relax/to stress less.

"Something Sweet" on Charlotte's Web, (HERE).

I favoured this post for its content, its "Tinder based humour" and of course, how sweet and adorable parts of this post were.
It put a big smile on my face when I read it.

"Lovely Little Things" on Little Winter, (HERE).

You guys know I love "little things" and always try to take some time to consider them. I liked this post because it highlighted some little things that make people happy and this post in general made me grin.

"The Woods Are Lovely, Dark and Deep" on Made Up of Little Things, (HERE).

This post was wonderful. The references to poetry, the many great photographs and the blissful theme made this post for me. I also love to here about other people's happy places, maybe one of Rachael's favourite spots (which she talked about in said post) could become one of mine. Must visit.

And that's everything, all finished for today. Sorry this is a day later than usual, I was really busy yesterday and didn't really look at my computer. I hope you've enjoyed.
Did you like this post? What do you think of what I got up to? What did you get up to in May? What were your favourite blog posts of May? Any comments or suggestions? Let me know in the comments.
I'll speak to you tomorrow - when my Quietly review will be up.

Have a totally fabulous day!

I've Been Thinking... - How Do You Do It, John Lewis?

Hi!!!

Oh hey there! Look at me being awesome and organised with my third post of the month. Today, I wanted to share something with you that has caught my attention.

OK, so if you don't know already, I really love John Lewis. It is one of my favourite places to shop. The store is 150 years old this year, and they have made one of their brilliant adverts to celebrate.

I have totally fallen in love with this advert - I never, ever wind it on during the ad breaks (we have Sky+ - other TV thingys are available).
The song that they have used for it is so, so lovely.
Obviously, the span of 150 years has vintage/retro theme, which I love, and I also like how it still works with the current themes.
I love the span of the decades and how they have blended it to show that no matter how much time passes and how many things change, the things that matter most to us and the things that we all need have and will remain the same.

To see the advert, click (HERE).

Alrighty then, that is all for today, it might seem strange to show off an advert, but I've done it before and I think that it is only fair for the good people of the company and advertising to receive credit for their work.
Do you like the advert? What's your favourite advert at the moment? Do you have a favourite John Lewis advert (I find it too tricky to choose!)? Any questions, suggestions for future posts or comments? Let me know in the comments below.
See you guys very soon!

I hope you have a wonderful day!

I've Been Thinking... - Well Done, M&S.

Hi!!!

I'm sorry, but THIS Marks and Spencer Christmas Advert is the best-est thing ever.

Does anything get any better than Rosie Huntington-Whitley, David Gandy, and Helena Bonham Carter, the most adorable little dog, an assortment of beautiful clothes, rather nice knickers designed by Miss H-W herself, and of course the selection of stunning fairy tale themes? No, I think not. It makes me feel very festive, but it is so well made and I really appreciate being able to see something like that. Just lovely.

I just adore this advert. Plus, compared to last years slack effort on M&S's part, I am chuffed to bits.

Have a day filled with magic and sparkle!
